Among 55 California counties with published values, the counties with the highest lung cancer death rates are Modoc County, CA (38.5, 1.27 times the U.S. rate of 30.2), Tehama County, CA (37.9, 1.25 times the U.S. rate of 30.2) and Lake County, CA (36, 1.19 times the U.S. rate of 30.2). Values are per 100,000, age-adjusted. 4 of the 55 are significantly above the U.S. rate.
