Among 10 Alaska counties with published values, the counties with the highest lung cancer death rates are Nome Census Area, AK (65.7, 2.18 times the U.S. rate of 30.2), Bethel Census Area, AK (65, 2.15 times the U.S. rate of 30.2) and Yukon-Koyukuk Census Area, AK (64.4, 2.13 times the U.S. rate of 30.2). Values are per 100,000, age-adjusted. 3 of the 10 are significantly above the U.S. rate.
