Counties with the highest lung cancer death rates in Maine

Among 16 Maine counties with published values, the counties with the highest lung cancer death rates are Somerset County, ME (52.5, 1.74 times the U.S. rate of 30.2), Washington County, ME (49.7, 1.65 times the U.S. rate of 30.2) and Penobscot County, ME (42.3, 1.4 times the U.S. rate of 30.2). Values are per 100,000, age-adjusted. 11 of the 16 are significantly above the U.S. rate.
