Among 58 California counties with published values, the counties with the highest cancer death rates are Alpine County, CA (216.6, 1.51 times the U.S. rate of 143.2), Del Norte County, CA (186.1, 1.3 times the U.S. rate of 143.2) and Glenn County, CA (173.2, 1.21 times the U.S. rate of 143.2). Values are per 100,000, age-adjusted. 11 of the 58 are significantly above the U.S. rate.
