Counties with the highest cancer death rates in Maine

Among 16 Maine counties with published values, the counties with the highest cancer death rates are Washington County, ME (201.4, 1.41 times the U.S. rate of 143.2), Somerset County, ME (181.7, 1.27 times the U.S. rate of 143.2) and Waldo County, ME (175.4, 1.22 times the U.S. rate of 143.2). Values are per 100,000, age-adjusted. 10 of the 16 are significantly above the U.S. rate.
