Among 102 Illinois counties with published values, the counties with the highest cancer death rates are Alexander County, IL (242.2, 1.69 times the U.S. rate of 143.2), Hardin County, IL (240.9, 1.68 times the U.S. rate of 143.2) and Marion County, IL (211.8, 1.48 times the U.S. rate of 143.2). Values are per 100,000, age-adjusted. 65 of the 102 are significantly above the U.S. rate.
