Among 16 Maine counties with published values, the counties with the highest bladder cancer incidence rates are Piscataquis County, ME (45.3, 2.42 times the U.S. rate of 18.7), Knox County, ME (31.2, 1.67 times the U.S. rate of 18.7) and Penobscot County, ME (30.7, 1.64 times the U.S. rate of 18.7). Values are per 100,000, age-adjusted. 16 of the 16 are significantly above the U.S. rate.
