Among 1,206 U.S. counties with published values, the counties with the highest esophagus cancer incidence rates are Buffalo County, WI (13.7, 2.98 times the U.S. rate of 4.6), Kalkaska County, MI (12.9, 2.8 times the U.S. rate of 4.6) and Morgan County, IL (12.7, 2.76 times the U.S. rate of 4.6). Values are per 100,000, age-adjusted. 242 of the 1,206 are significantly above the U.S. rate.
